Russian activist Ilya Rivkin and director of Babylon13 project Christian Zherehy together with German activists protested today on 5th of June in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin. Activists were protesting against the detention of Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko (Tundra) arrested in Crimea by the Russian security service – FSB who are currently being interrogated, tortured and charged with terrorism in Moscow.
Activists have locked themselves to the fence in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin in protest against illegal detention of Sentsov and Kolchenko. The action was spontaneous, tense but surprisingly peaceful. German police reacted slowly, consulted someone on the phone before coming to unlock the protesters from the fence. The police requested personal details of the protesters and let them go.
